After the first twenty-one games of the year, the Boston Red Sox’s hold first place in their division and hold onto the best winning percentage in all of baseball www.mlb.mlb.com

The earlier sweep of the Yankees this week started the demise of Yankees which led to the current Yankees six game loosing streak. The looses has brought the Yankees to the basement in the American League East standings. I can just imagine the Yankees owner in the clubhouse this week. Although several of the Yankee pitchers are out with injuries, it shows just how vulnerable the Yankees can be. It would seem they have little depth in the bullpen similar to many major league teams. Certainly this weekend’s match up with the Yankee will be a turning point for their team. However, we all seen it all to often, the Red Sox’s will have their opportunity at injuries, loosing streaks and slumping standing in the majors. For now, it does feel good to see the team working well, coming along with key wins and several come from behind wins. Let’s not forget the Sox Gate distraction this week which the teams overcame without incident. Lets Go RED SOX’S!! Oh, as I predicted earlier this month, the Detroit Tigers are just one game behind the first place team in the Central division. I expect Detroit to be one of the final four teams in the playoffs.
